Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on the 10th of March 1949. She is an American investor as well as a speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage that she started. NRT purchased it for $66 million in 2001. Corcoran soon exited the business. Corcoran has participated in 12 episodes of ABC's Shark Tank seasons. In February of 2020 Corcoran was involved in 53 deals, the largest being a $350,000 deal that was able to cover 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran, who was the second of 10 children from a working-class Irish-Catholic family was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a household worker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented employee throughout the years of Corcoran's childhood. The family depended on food delivery services for free from a local grocer. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who would drink often and treated her mother with disrespect. Corcoran struggled in school, and was later told that she had dyslexia. Corcoran was educated at a Catholic elementary school, and later began high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran was absent from several classes in her first year and transferred to Leonia High School where she was an A student.
