Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress. Her most prominent role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. After the end of the seventh season the show was canceled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an therapist for speech and family, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
