Lara Logan
Lara Logan, born 29 March 1971, is a South African radio and television journalist and war correspondent. Between 2002 between 2002 and 2018, she was the CBS News correspondent. Jeff Fager the director of 60 Minutes, called her biased and inaccurate story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the most grave mistake I've made I've made in the past 10 years." In 2019, she joined the Sinclair Broadcast Group, a conservative media firm. In January 2020, she was a part of Fox Nation. Fox News is a streaming service that requires a subscription. In March 2022, she said she was "dumped" by the company. Logan was a reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban, during her studies (1988-1989) as well as at the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992 she joined Reuters Television Africa as a senior production producer. After four years working for Reuters Television in Africa she moved into freelance journalistic work. She was hired as a reporter/editor/producer at Fox/SKY, Fox/SKY (in London), CBS News, ABC News, NBC News and the European Broadcasting Union. Reporting on news events like the 1998 bombings of the United States Embassy in Nairobi and Tanzania, conflict in Northern Ireland and the Kosovo conflict, she worked for CNN.
